KEEP TIPS - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Welcome to KeepTips (“Platform”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By using our website and services, you (“User”, “Worker”, “Customer”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

KeepTips is a digital tipping platform that enables service workers to receive cashless tips from customers via QR codes and secure payment processing through Stripe. We deduct a 4% platform fee per transaction, in addition to standard Stripe payment processing fees.

2. Eligibility

• Users must be at least 18 years old.

• Workers must provide accurate, up-to-date information during onboarding.

• Workers must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.

3. Account Registration

• Workers must complete the onboarding process, including Stripe Express account setup.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information.

• You agree to provide accurate and complete information at all times.

4. Payments & Fees

• All payments are processed securely via Stripe.

• A 4% platform fee is deducted from each tip, along with Stripe’s standard payment processing fees (currently 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction).

• Funds are paid directly to the Worker’s designated bank account after fees are deducted.

• Customers may be given the option to cover platform and processing fees at checkout.

5. Tax Compliance

• Workers are solely responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes on tips received.

• Keep Tips does not provide tax advice.

• Stripe may issue tax forms (such as 1099-K) if required by law.

• If new laws (such as tax-free tips) apply, it is the Worker’s responsibility to ensure compliance and proper reporting.

6. Prohibited Conduct

• No fraudulent, illegal, or abusive activity is permitted on the platform.

• Workers and customers must not use Keep Tips for any purpose other than lawful tipping.

• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms.

7. Intellectual Property

• All content, branding, and technology on Keep Tips is owned by us or our licensors.

• You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without our permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

• Keep Tips is provided “as is” and “as available.”

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

• We are not responsible for payment delays due to Stripe or banking partners.

9. Changes to Terms

• We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time.

• Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
